Fixed Jaw Plate

The fixed jaw plate is usually made of thick steel plate or cast steel, with an overall arc, line or step shape. Its working surface cooperates with the working surface of the moving jaw plate to form a crushing chamber that conforms to the material crushing trajectory. 

For example:

The upper part of the fixed jaw plate for coarse broken jaws (such as the PE series) is wider, making it easier for large pieces of material to enter;

The fixed jaw plate slope of fine jaw fractures (such as PEX series) is larger, and the crushing chamber is steeper, which is conducive to refining the particle size.

Connection and fixing methods

The fixed jaw plate is fixed on the front wall of the crusher frame by high-strength bolts, wedges or pressure plates, and the connection parts need to be stable to avoid loosening due to vibration during crushing. In some designs, elastic pads (such as rubber pads) will be installed between the E-plate and the frame to cushion crushing impacts and reduce noise.

Tooth profile design of working face

The working surface of the fixed E-plate (the surface in contact with the material) is usually cast with regular convex edges (crushing teeth), and its design needs to meet the following requirements:

Tooth shape and spacing: The coarse crushed jaw plate has a large tooth spacing (usually 50-100mm) and deep teeth, which is conducive to "biting" large pieces of material and preventing slipping; The fine crushing plate has a small tooth pitch (20-50mm) and shallow tooth depth, which can improve the crushing accuracy.

Interlocking coordination: arranged in a staggered manner with the teeth of the moving jaw plate (such as the teeth peaks of the fixed jaw plate corresponding to the teeth valleys of the moving jaw plate), ensuring that the material is evenly squeezed during the crushing process and avoiding incomplete crushing caused by insufficient local force.

Symmetry: Some fixed jaw plates are designed as symmetrical structures, which can be flipped over (up and down or left and right) after wear, extending their service life.
